Okay, so I am a couple of days late, but who cares? This book is certainly worth the wait!
The Mystery of Eatum Hall by John Kelly and Cathy Tincknell is a wonderfully entertaining take on how people often have completely different perspectives of the same circumstances. Set at the palatial Eatum Hall, the story tells the tale of a gluttonous pig and his equally indulgent wife who enjoy a weekend of fine dining and relaxation at the invitation of Dr. Hunter. Dr. Hunter does not appear to welcome his guests, nonetheless, the couple spends the weekend enjoying themselves and filling their stomachs. Their only regret is that they must leave for home early and miss the finale of the weekend - a pie feast. Curiously, their benefactor, Dr. Hunter, does not make an appearance all weekend. Or does he?
My students love this story. After listening to me read it aloud, they are passing it around during free reading time enjoying it all over again.

How great! It sounds funny, and colorful, and like it still probably has a good message... i.e., gluttony is bad. :) Thanks so much for sharing this- I'm putting it on hold right away!
